記得之前日記曾介紹Book Surgeon's(外科醫生書)的雕刻書,這次Brian Dettmer and Kinz 他帶來一整套新的作品,他的作品即日起至6月11日在紐約Kinz + Tillou Fine Art 畫廊展覽 ,這些令人難以置信變造書籍的獨特的藝術,其價格從3800美元到32000元！
Dettmer如何描述它：“在這個工作中,我通過從前面切入書面和剖視,利用我工作用的刀子,鑷子和手術器具,一次刻一個頁面,而每一層的同時,減少暴露周圍觀念和形象.雕書裡面沒有任何植入物,只有移除.書的圖像和想法,是揭示交替的歷史和回憶.我的工作是一個協作與現有的材料和其過去的創造者和已完成的作品中揭露與書新的關係.“
