美國愛荷華大學教授Don Gurnett蒐集「太空中的聲音」,轉換成人耳聽得到的頻率
.Don Gurnett從四十年前開始蒐集這些電漿記錄,轉換成人耳可聞的聲音,從木星,土星到太陽系邊緣,有的低沉如鯨魚叫聲,活躍的電漿活動像鳥鳴,來自太陽光球層的,則宛若風聲。
而克羅諾斯絃樂四重奏將NASA蒐集到的外太空聲音譜成樂曲,以下All India Radio's new album 'The Silent Surf.' The video 是取材於Don Gurnett之太空中的聲音由Kronos Quartet(克羅諾斯絃樂四重奏) 之Sun Ring(太陽光輪) .

The album features The Church's Steve Kilbey (Under The Milky Way) and the voice of Professor Don Gurnett, famous for his NASA 'space sounds' (used by the Kronos Quartet on their famous Sun Ring recordings).
