Karen Matheson OBE（生於1963年2月11日）是蘇格蘭的民謠歌手，經常唱Scottish Gaelic(蘇格蘭蓋爾語)。她生長在Taynuilt in Argyll(阿蓋爾) 的小村莊。她被授予了OBE在2006年新年的授勳名單。Karen Matheson也出現在對音樂家西方精神的1997年專輯度量衡上作為嘉賓。並嫁給同Capercaillie成員Donald Shaw，他們有一個10歲兒子命名Hector和hector。
她是Capercaillie樂團的主唱組，並且是Dan Ar Braz's group L'Heritage des Celtes小組成員，她常常唱單獨主角vocals，或聯同Elaine Morgan合唱。她和Morgan共同領唱的he Breton language(布列塔尼語)歌曲得到很多讚譽為 “Diwanit Bugale”後，Karen Matheson法國進入了1996年歐洲電視網歌曲大賽。並她做了客串出現在1995年的電影ROB ROY(羅布羅伊)(赤膽豪情)演唱的歌曲“Ailein duinn “。她是這個時代詮釋蓋爾語的最佳女聲。
今晚分享其在Once In A Red Moon (憶遊紅月)專集中擔任客座歌手之Greenwaves (碧波蕩漾)及在電影ROB ROY(赤膽豪情)令人驚艷的天籟美聲，跨界首張專集The dreaming sea(夢海)。

這是由艱深的蓋爾語唱的，由連恩尼遜主演電影「赤膽豪情」主題曲，這是一首凱爾特悲歌，是紀念水手Ailean Moireasdan (“Alan Morrison”) 的輓歌，由一個愛爾蘭女人為她死去的未婚夫寫的。
