Altan是被譽為90年代最傑出的愛爾蘭傳統民謠樂團，而已成為愛爾蘭傳統音樂的代名詞。從1983 年以來，他們贏得了許多音樂獎項，其中包括了三座 NAIRD Award (National Assoication of Independent Record Dealers 美國獨立音樂品牌協會 ), 英國民謠音樂雜誌 (Folk and Roots) 及英國流行樂雜誌 (Q Magnize) 的年度最佳民謠專輯等多項大獎。
